Interview: FromHereToSunday

As we said before, we’re starting a new feature at Mypassengerdiaries where we’ll be interviewing other travelers for their stories. For our first interview, we spoke with Monica, the blogger behind FromHereToSunday. Monica is originally from the U.S. but started living a nomadic lifestyle since summer 2014 and working remotely to travel. So far, she has visited over 30 countries in 6 continents.

I have to say that her blog is very inspiring. Not only has she visited and lived in so many places, she captured the spirit and character of every destination she’s been to. I also really admire her courage and her ability to leave her corporate job behind to pursue her passion for traveling.

Here’s the Q&A from our interview. Enjoy!

Q: Tell us something interesting about yourself.

A: I have been a digital nomad working remotely for over 3 years now. I quit my job in corporate America last year to take a giant leap of faith and see if I could blog full time. So far, so good!

Q: What drove you to start traveling?

A: I’ve always had a deep curiosity for what life was like in other parts of the world.

Q: What’s your next destination?

A: I’m currently exploring Mexico for the next few months! I’m from the U.S., but there is so much of Mexico I haven’t seen and want to experience.

Q: If you can go anywhere- with no restrictions on money, transportation, safety, etc- where would it be?

A: Antarctica without a doubt! It is at the top of my bucket list if I had no restrictions on money.

Q: Where’s the best place you’ve been to?

A: I always seem to think the best places or countries I’ve visited always have something in common, and it’s that they have so much to offer. Countries I’ve fallen in love with such as Chile, Panama, Australia, and South Africa all give you an opportunity to try all sorts of things from climbing in the mountains, to scuba diving a colorful reef, to city exploration and more. I love going on a ton of adventures when I travel and really appreciate the countries that have such a diverse set of adventures.

Q: Any advice for travelers?

A: My biggest advice is not to be afraid. I used to hold myself back on going on adventures when I didn’t have a friend or significant other to join me. Now, I’m a confident solo female traveler that feels like I can go out and conquer the world at any time! Traveling solo will help you gain confidence, independence, and lead you down a path of self-discovery. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Well said, Monica! Go visit her blog now and read about her amazing adventures. To get you started here are some of our favorite posts: Portugal | Vallarta
